Youth
St. Paul Youth Ministries offers many opportunities for students from 6th to 12th grade. We foster an environment where youth connect with God and each other, and receive the necessary tools and teaching to help them further their Christian walk in today's world.
Metamorphosis
“Metamorphosis” describes our Sunday Night Youth Ministry. “Metamorphosis” is the Greek word for “transform or change into another form.” We believe God is interested in the transformation of our lives, the church, the world and this happens through the life journey that God leads us on. This is a terrific place for youth to get connected with the youth ministry and bring friends who might be new to church. Our Metamorphosis Ministry meets Sunday evenings from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Family Life Center throughout the school year.
Metamorphosis has four components:
- Fuel – Eating dinner together as a group.
- Flight – A planned activity or game to bond as a group.
- Formation – A time of study that helps youth be formed to the image of Christ.
- TransFormation – A time of worship, reflection, and response that connects youth with God and each other in an experiential way.
These four components are integrated to maximize making God’s story our story, to retain the story by living it into the world, and to share it with others along life’s journey. Our recent series of teaching have included “Investing 101,” a series on investing our lives into God’s Kingdom, and “How to Save a Life,” a series on understanding the ways of Jesus.
Diakonia
We offer mission-oriented opportunities on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30
PM. (during the school year) that focus on living out a relationship with God by serving others. This ministry offers opportunities to serve others in the church, the community, and throughout the world. At the end of each month, we participate in a small group study to cement what we have learned by serving others.
Middle School and High School Sunday School
We meet Sunday mornings from 10 to 10:50 AM. This is a time when youth can grow in their knowledge of God and learn how to relate biblical truths to life.
